It might be good to use effects which require a handkerchief if the mess really gets to you, you could discretely wipe it off when done.

BTW, I found a fantastic little box for carrying this stuff around in - that is, stuff that's already been prepared - at Spencer's Gifts. They sell this lip gloss in little tins, about 1 inch long, and the width of a finger. Nice and small. They slide open easily, but have enough resistance that they wouldn't open on you accidentally.
They're perfect, only I felt more than a little weird buying lip gloss .. then again, it is Spencers, so, who would care ? ;-)

Thanks for the thoughts Mystician. You can also use the small tin the baby Altoids come in.

Hmm.. I haven't seen that. I've got an Altoids tin, but it's pretty big, relatively. I'm always on the lookout for odds and ends with potential.

On a side note, I'm interested in seeing what Jim Pace "cooks up" (ugh, bad pun) with the Zero Toys Wizard Stick, it's a little portable mini fogger and that makes gobs of "smoke" in seconds, and is perfectly safe.
I bought one too, but my son would hate me if I took it apart to try to mod it! (I'm not sure I would be successful, probably just break the thing!)

Why wait for someone else to come up with something when you can do the job yourself? just get one, break it apart and mount it inside your prop!

I forgot if it was on this forum, I think it was, you can get little LED keychains, shine this up, then through the beam, rub your fingers, excellent results in the dark, looks like a beam, brill, then you can pruduce a coin or whatever.

I keep mine in a small tobacco tin, about 1 and 1/2 inch square.

Where can you get jim paces 'thing' from?! mmm..... ill have a look at that.....

It's not quite that simple. I do have one. I have a regular zero-blaster, a wizard stick, and a mini zero blaster. They don't come apart that easy. You need something to contain the parts too.

ah, I found one finally. Bought it, but actually, it's still twice as large as the lip gloss tins I found, which I still prefer. Not bad, though !

unfortunately I cannot locate a supplier in europe yet for the sticks.

Mop, Zerotoys sells directly from their website, and if you want a Wizard Stick, Jim Pace has the best price around - on eBay.

Wizard stick is cool for pre-loading a container with smoke, but I tried and I don't think it can be adapted easily or forced inside another prop...

Wish it could...
