My wife and I are celebrating our tenth anniversary today. Speaking from experience, I figure the first 29 years will be the toughest. After that...frozen lemonade!

Holy smokes! Look at all the good wishes from my fellow magicians! This is why I love the Café so much. Thank you all tons for the kind words.
Already, the madness has begun. My fiance's parents are arguing over who will get to throw the reception. One of her cousins is mad because she can't bring her boyfriend du jour. And my dear Stephanie is starting to lose sleep over one of the hardest of life's choices... shoes. All I know is that I'll just show up where and when I'm told to, wearing what I have been told to wear. By the way, the wedding is in Vegas! How magical is THAT!? Thanks again, to all! |

Do it in one of the drive-thru wedding chapels! "Do you want fries with those rings?" Better yet, get an Elvis impersonator to do the wedding! "Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here today..."...and then the lip quiver..." Thankyouverymuch! Ladies and gentlemen, the bride and groom have left the building! Don't forget the camcorder! When is the wedding?

Great news - congratulations!
Free advice: 1) Buy low, sell high 2) My wife and I have been married for 15 great years, and my only regret was that I didn't learn any "people skills" before I got married - you know, learning how to deal with people and situations and thinking things through a bit. But I learned. It would have made the first few years even better than they were, though.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".
