I get so many of my posts deleted and I was wondering why? I keep hearing “ People are upset at what you said” or Members are sensitive to the topic you started”.
How about The Magic Café stop being so politically correct and take a stand for what counts: TRUTH in Magic. The sensitive folks? They probably never earned a dime performing so let them go to their local club and whine and moan. Do I hear this post going away as fast as a blowtortch through butter???? Chris

That's easy to answer Chris, and here is why - you have a habit of writing a post, hitting the submit button, then coming back and writing another post directly after the first and submitting it as well. In some cases three times or more. All we have done is gone through and combined those multiple postings (one after another) into one post. This helps conserve bandwidth and server space, both of which cost money. Plus it just looks better then to scroll down a topic and see a member with several posts, one after another. Yours? Mine? The term is just too subjective. What we do have is a slew of members (and lurkers) who have various beliefs, morals, and diversified ideas, these folks live in many different countries around the globe, each having their own thoughts about what is or is not correct. Further, while some of these folks are professional performers, many are beginners or hobbyists. That said, what we do have is a philosophy and set of rules and guidelines which helps all these folks interact on a daily basis, existing within this little community we call The Magic Café. A place where people of all beliefs and skill levels can help one another, thus our motto "Magicians helping magicians". We cannot please everyone, and in fact we have no intention to attempt such an undertaking. The best that we can hope to achieve is to maintain a semi civil environment for us all to enjoy. Even then, there are those who will cross the line from time to time. One can only hope that folks are careful about what they write for thousands to read. That's why that in addition to our rules and policies, we offer these Posting Guidelines... for everyone to think about. :smoke:
