In the Gary Kurtz manuscript 'The Ultimate chair prediction Plus', he explaisn the effect derived from an effect called Bank Night. Does anyone know who this was by and where I can find it? Thanks

I'm not sure who created the "bank night" effect, but here are a few suggestions of bank nights effects :

- Richard Osterlind's "bank night" (from Mind Mysteries vol. 1)
- Marc Spelmann's "prize draw" (from his DVD vol. 3 "the acquaintance)
- Greg Arce's "Clear Nite" and "more clear nites" e-books
- Paolo Cavalli's "Chairvelopes" (from his e-book "Omicron") (also chair prediction).

Sincerely, Matt

Its invention is credited to Tom Sellers I believe. Since then, almost everyone have come up with their own version.

The one that inspired the Kurtz routine was a Bruce Bernstein version, found in his book "Twenty Effects for Psychic Entertainers." From reading that effect, it's easy to see how the basic idea could be applied to a chair prediction, though apparently Kurtz added a lot to it. (I don't have his routine, so I don't know what his additions are.)
Every problem contains the seeds of its own solution. Unfortunately every problem also contains the seeds of an infinite number of non-solutions, so that first part really isn't super helpful.

Speaking of Kurtz, does anyone know what is he up to these days? Does he have a website?
