Howdy, you pyros
I've got an idea for an illusion: Effect: Spectator chooses a card, it is put back in the deck without being revealed to the Magician. Magician holds the pack out at arm's length. Spectator is told to hold his hand like a pistol, point it at the deck and pretend to shoot it with a "bang" sound. At the sound made by the spectator, the deck is tossed up in the air as if shot. Magician finds the chosen card on the floor with a bullet hole in it. When the card is picked up and shown to the spectator, it is "still smoking." OK; I've got the method worked out except for the smoking part. From reading previous threads, it seems that "Little Smoke" might work. What do you guys think? If you think it might work, where do I get the stuff. Thanks Dusty Dave |

Little Smoke could work, you might have to rub the hole a little to get it to smoke though, as it usually requires a little agitation - though very little. It's also pretty greasy dirty stuff, on the downside.
You might want to consider something like ultrasmoke2000, where the smoke could come from under your sleeve, under the card, and out from the hole in the card. Just an untested idea.
Just hanging out with the rest of my fellow dregs.

Since some people are against guns, if you had that type audience, you could also suggest they concenrate on their card and let the smoke seep from the deck on your hand. Could be done by cutting the pip out of a forced card and putting flashpaper with flash bang in the midst. Rub the cards briskly and can set off flashbang, producing smoke. Do not know what the effect will be on other cards in the deck. just an idea. For a comedy effect just add, "Wow I didn't mean for you to think that hard".
