I know criss angel is still hot in this forum. I don't want to draw any more attention to that here. I want to discuss "Supernatural."
Before the special I purchased supernatural off ebay. I finally recieved it yesterday and I must say THIS WAS BEAUTIFUL. I watched the whole show without blinking. Part of it was the stage show. The music made a complete performance that did add a huge dimension to the episode. Criss was even making jokes, which also appeared to somehow be missing from the new show. Which is kinda sad. But don't want to get back to that. The biggest highlight for me was the scarecrow. That was such a pretty sight. The two assistants start in despair emotions. There is trees like those you would see in a tim Burton film. An umbrella is passed through the tree and an apple is seen to have appeared there. True beauty from the rusted tree. Then criss does the classic person through body illusion with 2 people and this really clean look. IT was so incredible. Now I know mindfreak and made in japan have recieved great reviews and this was no downer. It was soooooo good. (surely much better than the tv special.) What would you recommend next?Mindfreak(video) or Made in Japan? Thanks guys. You should see supernatural. It is amazing. |

Richard Cohn is a magic historian here in NY. He's also a fine performer and a very much in demand lighting director for movies and TV. He was the LD on Spin City. He is currently in London doing a talk for the Magic Circle celebration.

I would recommed MindFreak.
Made in Japan contains just a few effects (also seen in Supernatural) plus a lot of behind the scenes documentary. |
