This may sound a bit grandiose, but I honestly believe this to be a historic day.
Only moments ago, a truck arrived at the FUN Inc. factory here in Chicago and delivered a shipment of the first ever factory-printed deck of MARKED Bicycle Cards! Through an exclusvie arrangement with Boris Wild and the US Playing Card Company, FUN Incorporated has produced the easy-to-read Boris Wild Marked Deck on Bicycle Rider Back cards. Yes, they'll be available in both red and blue backs, and yes, they'll be available from your favorite dealer. Dealers should contact FUN Inc. (www.funinc.com). We expect to begin shipping decks tomorrow. Expect a companion book to follow in the middle of August. Full details will be available on the FUN Inc. tomorrow. This is BIG! Gabe Fajuri Project Mgr. I always thought marked decks were hokey until I saw Boris lecture a few years ago. Truly powerful in the right hands. How much for the decks?

No shadow over Boris Wild, but I think that Ted Lesly's marked deck is still the best IMHO

If I remember correctly Boris marking system is an improvement from Teds marking system. With Boris concept you can spread the cards very tight and see the markings very clear.

I can't remember the system exactly except for the fact that it allowed for a very quick read and I also believe you could read it upside down as well. Not sure about the lefty question (I too am a lefty).

The marks are placed so you can read any card in a ribbon spread or spread in the hands (Fans may not work) They should be marked twice so that any cards can be read either way up .Like 2 index cards themselves though if you spread the wrong way the index will be upside down . If left handers want more detail they can pm.
It is worth checking if the double mark is on the funinc packs . Some ready made sets have only 1 index which is quite limiting. I think the flexibility of the wild deck is huge . And I have even had lay people stare at the back and not notice the marks due to their location . |

During the Boris Wild Lecture at The Columbus Magi-Fest Mr. Wild actually put the card on an overhead projector in a room full of Magicians, at least 150 -200, for a few minutes and no one saw the marks until he pointed them out. I thought that was pretty impressive.

Having labored many times preparing the BW markings, I know that I will purchase a deck or two when they are ready for sale.

I admit I've never saw the Boris System, but I have seen the Lesley System from his DVD. I still think the SUM (YES THAT'S RIGHT THE SUM) Deck is better. Not ONLY is it Marked but it is stacked, AND it's cheaper, and ALREADY available. It's OH SO EASY to read too IMHO, Ed, (Eddini).

Lesley is easy, but better is the Boris System.
For the first time I saw the Lesley Cards, I saw the marks. Cheap is sometimes not the best! Sorry for my English! |

I got this message from Paul:
"Thank you for your letter. The Boris Wild Marked Decks have been shipped to us and they should arrive this Friday. The price per deck is $19.95. Best Regards Paul Gross Hocus Pocus" |

To answer some questions:
Yes, the cards are marked on both ends so that the orientation (after a shuffle, for example) makes no difference in whether or not you can read the cards. Unfortunately for southpaws, the cards have been marked with the right-handed magician in mind. When your minimum order is 5000 decks...well, unfortunately the predominant hand has to win out. I'm looking forward to getting these into the hands of those that will use them. I know I will! Regards, Gabe Fajuri FUN Inc. http://www.funinc.com |

I bought a deck of Wild-marked Bikes some time ago.
I guess I should try and remember who the dealer was! |

Why does it matter if your left or right handed they are marked on both long sides,so surely it does not matter what direction you spread them.
