I saw one at the shop. It's very hard to see with my old eyes. But, it is beautifully done.

Lesley deck way easier to see, still have trouble seeing the Wild deck, plus the mark location is in 4 different positions depending on the suit. This makes it a little more difficult .If given a choice I would go with the Lesley deck.As stated earlier my humble opinion.

There are limitless great effects with a marked deck; however, you need decent eyesight to use the Wild version. I don't have it without glasses, so see "Tricks for Sale" for my ad for the deck and DVD cheap. If you have good eyes, you're in business.

Sorry to throw a spanner in the works (and its off-topic in some way) but why do people really not want to mark their own cards using their own system - thus tailoring the system to any individual's eyesight/secrecy requirements?
Its not hard - why is factory printed a good thing? |

I still do not understand what the problem is with the marks for a left handed person? Can someone explain further. Can you not spread these with either hand?

You must get use to and train your eyes and brain to read the cards. If you want it to jump out and bite you then your spectator will see it also. Work with it a while and stun your audiences.
Low light, if you cannot see the marks, then you cannot see the pips either. Advice to left handed persons, spread your decks from left to right. That way when they are turned over in a spread the index pips can be seen by everyone. |

The Wild Deck is excellent.......subtle (read'indectable' markings) but easy to read....system becomes more intuitive with practice....While the Lesley may be easier to read...it can get itself burnt.....or at least I think it can....and it makes me less confident as a performer....which in turn makes me less competent as a magician.....great value....its a keeper and I will be back for one more in the other coloured back.

I love the deck. I opend up the pack, and scanned over the back of it, and I actually thought I had been given a regular deck on accidnet until I read over the instructions and saw where the marks where. It is VERY clever, amd very well hid; it actually blends in with the design. I have given mine out for examination, etc., and the marks haven't been spotted. I really like this version. This is my first time using a marked deck, and I think this will be the only deck I use.

I got mine a few days ago, over the years I have made up my own using rub ons and a needles, This is well worth the money, but you should get the book and DVD as well, he has some good ideas on getting use to the deck and a stack system if you do not already have one.

I have the deck and plan on using them. The only fear I have is if for some reason someone catches the markings (I know the chances are slim to none) then it discounts all the magic you have done because they then assume all were done with a marked deck. Kind of like using editing or camera tricks (Blaine comes to mind).
Just a fear I know I will overcome after gaining confidence in the marked deck Park

The fear of being caught shouldn't be a problem. After all, we're magicians and rarely do we watch a trick and then think "gee, I bet that was a marked deck." If we're magicians and don't think about it, laymen won't either. The key is to do a bunch of visual magic with the deck and then do one or two tricks using the markings. As long as you've shown your skill with a deck first and as long as you don't stare at the backs, no one should even think twice .

Emyers99...
I agree. I used to do a full card routine with a Stripper deck. Ambitious, ace assembly, and then follow with some shuffle work(aka stripper help)...floored all of them. Most magicians did not even suspect it, much less the specs. |

I like the Symbology deck which also uses the Wild system but with ESP cards. It lends itself to the mind reading theme a bit better then regular Bikes and the markings are a bit easier to see.
The deck comes with a 50 page booklet and is a great value. |

If you want to have some fun for those who do not have the Wild Deck. Get out your latest issue of Genii and the ad for the Boris Wild Deck in there actually shows one of the marked cards, which happens to be the ace of clubs. The challenge is for you to see the marks. Good luck

I might be biased, but I still favour Ted Lesley's marked deck. I'm not saying that Wild's deck is bad, but Lesley's deck works better for me. I have used it many times, both on magicans and laypeople, and so far no one has detected the secret. Once I even let a magical friend hold the deck (Lesley's), and told him that the deck was marked. He looked at several cards both front and back, but couldn't find anything.
Just my two euros Ted, if you read this I just want to say that I am very pleased with your Working Performer's Marked Deck.
