I really like this one. The props are pretty and the carrying case is of good quality. You have five brass items, that are long and somewhat skinny. On the bottom are marks, or dots one to five. At the end are colored jewels. You also have a brass cylinder which has a top that's screwed on. You have everything examined, to make sure there are no trap doors, no differences in weight...ECT. You put one in and show how much screwing it takes to screw the lid on. You ask them to look it over carefully and to make sure they can't see what's inside. You take the brass rod out (My presentation). You then tell them to pick a color and tell them to put it in color side up. You tell them to screw the lid on all the way, and to hide the other four rods so you aren't just doing it by elimination, either in their shut fist or pocket being CAREFUL not to drop them so the jewels don't pop out. You turn your back. They do as instructed. You turn around and grab the canister again turning it and so on to show you can't see through it then like 2-3 seconds later you hand it back. You handle it minimally. You then reveal the color.
I did this like 10 times last weekend. It went over great. The way I do it is, I take a piece of paper and pen out and I say I'll write their thoughts out. I grab a deck and I put the paper on the boxed deck of cards (as I said my Memory isn't too good at things and I leave nothing to chance, so I have a certain something stuck in the cellophane...Thank God for cellophane), and I write the color down put the deck away put the paper face down for suspense. Then I slowly reveal what I'm writing. Also at first in front of them after "seeing what I need to", I will start to purposely write down the wrong color only to say "no that's not it", and scribble it away. I then once more put the writing out of sight and write the correct color down. I will say our of the 10-12 times I did it, I did miss it once even with the appropriate info literally staring me in the face. Maybe it wasn't screwed on tightly or something was slightly of center. I did it again, and got it. The person watching is a Big Fan of mine and he said it was kinda weak, as you got one out of five but I asked him if he wanted to do it again. That happened ONLY because I missed it with his girlfriend the first time I tried it. EVERYONE else really like it. I rate this a EASY 8.5

This is a GREAT prop> try using it as part of a "one-ahead" routine...

How is that? You mean do it with multiple people? PM me if you like Julie, Thanks, Ed, (Eddini).
