Myself and a friend have come up with an idea. We just want to make sure that it is worth going through with.
Effect: A spectator selects a card (ungimmicked deck), the magician, while blindfolded (genuine blindfold), touches the card and is able to tell what it is. We think it is a great mentalism effect, but are wondering what other think. |

If you have a method, then go for it!

Magnum, have you done it yet? If so, how was the reaction?

Method 1
Your friend force a card, and you act to guess it. Method 2 Your friend send signal. Method 3 You force a card looking as in usual blindfold method. Method 4 The deck is satcked (But ungimmicked deck). You glimpse the next card of selection. Method 5 You diredtly glimpse the selected card. Harry Lorayne has a good mehtod in blindfolded condition. Method 6 You tear a corner of the card and glimpse the corner. So on. Hideo Kato |

Then we get to the deck being gimicked or not... that ONLY has meaning to magicians, and a simple deck switch takes care of that for all intents and purposes. There are some here who can help you check your method for originality. It would help if you could state that you searched the standard card books and mentalist references from Dunninger to today and were pretty sure you had something new from the get - go. In the mean time, you seem to like what you have, so enjoy performing it.
