Split Ends
found at http://www.tylermagic.com/splitends.htm for $2.99 This utility sleight that comes complete with five tricks and the original split ends move, all at a very generous price. I was a little dissapointed at first, but then I realized this move's full potential. The effects: - Split Ends: A card is selected and placed face up on top of the deck. You proceed to split it into two duplicate cards, in the blink of an eye. 9/10 - visually stunning, but kind of a short trick - Instant Change: This can be used to transform one card instantly and visually into another card with no cover or strange moves. 7/10 - noisy change, but very visual - DL Escape: If you ever do a sloppy double lift, this move allows you to quickly and inconspicuously turn the double into a single. 10/10 - saved myself dozens of times with this moves, particularly my friends who know a little magic themselves - Split-Second Switch: This can be used to switch one card for another card without the spectators knowing about it. 9/10 - great for ambitious card routines - The Exorcism: A card is selected and lost in the deck. The Ace of Spades is said to have trapped the selection inside itself. You visually pull the selection OUT of the Ace of Spades. 8/10 - not quite what I was expecting (too fast) but a good story line Practice time: 3.5/10 little practice necessary Difficulty: 3/10 easy enough for beginners Pros: An easy double lift clean-up or out Can be used as a substitute for the top change Comes with several effects More or less a natural-looking move Cons: Tricks are really short PDF has no pictures Move is really noisy Overall 8.5/10 A good sleight at a great price, what more could you want? |
