What is the most unexpected place you have seen a card produced in a card to impossible location effect?
I've seen a performer pull a signed card out from under his own toupee which was hilarious. What are some other wacky and crazy locations which were totally unexpected? Kind regards, Rich

I have seen an impossible location to a wrapped McDonalds hamburger before. The card was pretty messy, but it was still awesome to watch.

I once pulled off a card to G-string. It was a fluke but the revelation was all that I could have hoped for.
One time, when I was young, I botched a sleight so bad, Vernon, Marlo & Miller rolled over in their graves. But I didn't see Elmsley, probably because he was behind the others.

Card to G-string?!?!? If you don't mind me asking, was it your G-string or your spectators?
Card to wrapped McDonalds hamburger is very funny! I'd rather find a card in a hamburger than a finger any day. I imagine there are many creative locations in a trade show setting where you can incorporate the sponsors promoted item. Anyone else have a wacky location?

I did some magic before a Passover seder earlier this year, and at the end of my routine, the signed spec's card vanished. Later it was found wrapped up with the afikomen (piece of unleavened bread that 'disappears' during the meal).

The oddest one was probably when I did a card to pumpkin. I made the signed card end up inside a pumpkin which had to be cut open.
I like the Toupee thing! That's great!

You're not going to believe this, but I was doing a colonoscopy the other day......

Mel Brown did a trick like the old, "What's your Favorite color? What's your favorite Flower? Name a number between 5 and Ten..." effect, where you rely on the spectator naming certain "most often named" items (Blue, rose, seven, for instance). He did it with cards. He did survey after survey, kept lists, asked other magicians, and finally decided on the four most-often named caards in a deck. Then he went to the trouble to have those four cards TATTOOED on four different places on his body - one on each arm, and one on each leg! Later in life Mel contracted cancer. Unfortunately, as a result, he lost a leg. When he had the prothesis made, he had them TATTOO the card on the fake limb! It may not be the most impossible location ever, but the question was "what is the most UNUSUAL...", and Mel's trick certainly qualifies for that, in my opinion!

I havent seen it, but I just had an idea. What about in a light bulb? Has anyone seen this done. Another one I was thinking about was behind the label of a beer bottle. not in the beer, but glued between the bottle and the label. I think it would have to be a bridge sized card, but I'm just brainstorming. just some thoughts. Feel free to get back to me.

I have seen a card come from the magician's boxers....it was kind of gross becaue he handed the signed card back to me when he was done.

I've seen Owen Lean do a "card to zipper-fly". Pretty good stuff.

Card to unsual location is great fun - but it is for magicians.
However card to wallet, beer bottle, cigarette, lemon, pocket or ceiling is all great enough for lay audiences. They will not be more astonished because the card goes to a cars gas tank. Card to wallet, ceiling etc is strong enough provided your presentation builds the right emotional hook and suspense. |

I was totally fooled when I saw Lisa Mena produce a card inside her stocking on the bottom of her foot. Paul Gertner signed the card and he looked just as shocked as the rest of the magician audience.

I did an impromptu trick once in a coffee shop, where they spec signed a card, I controled it to the top, palmed it off, had them shuffle the deck, then I slipped the card in between the coffee cup and that cardboard sleeve thingy as I was "taking a sip". That was a pretty good revelation, as I tore the sleeve off (I know... I could have just slid it off, but that's not good showmanship!), and there was their sign card underneath.
Ahhh... coffee and cards... a wonderful combination. |

I saw a card was produced from a leather golf glove which was just moments before produced from a tennis ball which was just moments before produced from a cup in a cups and balls routine.
