Guys,
I was wondering whether to get "Brian Tudor's" Show Off 2. I have heard good things about it but I thought I'd check with you guys first.
Thanks a lot.
Yours,

Hi,
I like this video. You can learn lots of new flourishes if you are getting started. They all will require a lot of practice, but I think that the practice is definitely worth it.
If you are new to flourishes, or simply want to learn some more, here are several websites from which you can learn a whole bunch of different flourishes. I like them all, and I feel that they all offer several flourishes and ideas:

http://www.superhandz.com
http://www.flourishman.com
http://www.pasteboardanimations.com
http://www.capcasino.com
http://www.leeasher.com

There are so many other websites out there...you will have to look for them, but if you just search around, I am sure you will find more flourish websites and products. Keep the art of flourishing alive, it is a wonderful art.

Hi. I also have this video and find it great and easy to learn from. Like magicsponge said, they do require a lot of practice. Does anyone know of any other good flourish videos?

Hello, I have Show Off II, and there is something for everyone on this tape. Brian Tudor is a master at these flourishes, and the instructional content is very good. Prepare to fast forward and rewind lots, to get every move and finger position down, and you can learn these effects, or at least one of them.

Some of the material:
Awesome blossom, featuring the one hand pop up move and the 4 of a kind production. Nice.

One hand swivel cut, fun to practice.

What the heck happened to Sybil 2, I learned this one and it seemed impossible at first.

Other items on tape are good and it is fun watching Brian perform these flourishes. Just be prepared to pick cards up off the floor for a while. Smile

Show Off 2 pales in comparison to Show Off 1. Show Off 2 has better production values then number 1 because I believe that Murphy's Magic produced it instead of Brian Tudor and his friend Joel.

Show Off 2 is basically a re-mastered version of Show Off 1. There are a few new things on number 2, like the already mentioned "Awesome Blossom Production" and such, but really, Show Off 1 appeals more to me. Maybe because I learned most everything off of number 1, and when number 2 came out, it all just seemed like a variation. And maybe I'm bitter because I can't do every cut on Show Off 2. It's not that I haven't tried hard enough, it's just that I have pretty small hands and my thumb does not reach across the entire deck. Some of the cuts on Show Off 2 require you to be able to have your thumb reach across the deck.

If you can't find Show Off 1, #2 is probably your next best video. You can also check out the Jeff McBride Card Manipulation videos. They aren't too shabby. I haven't had a chance to see the superhandz's video, but I've heard only great reviews about them. The Buck Twins have some nice cuts and Ace Productions on their tape. And if you want a lifetime of flourishes to work on, you can't go wrong with the Encyclopedia of Card Flourishes. There are some easy things in there and there are some hard things in there. Some things will take you 5 minutes to learn, some things will take you 5 months to learn (if you have that much dedication to learn them).
