Hi y'all,
The Web sounds like a good routine to do this holiday season, but I can't seem to find any reviews on it. Any help/comments on it are much appreciated. :righton:
thanks y'all

Lawrence:
You can find reviews around here if you use the search function, but here it is, in a nutshell-- Four cards. Spider webs appear and disappear from their faces. BIG FAT SCARE at the end, for the spectator. Use extreme caution when performing this, that the person is not arachnophobic. It's a fun thing to do IF you know your audience very well. I much prefer Geoff Williams' "Bear Hands", which is a kinder, gentler version of the Web (but not as relevant to Halloween, I realize). Good luck. Jay |

Thanks Jay! Your description is great. I tried using the search function on this forum, but couldn't find any. Is the gimmick used by The Web and Bear Hands the same? And any particular problems w/ angles etc?
:righton: Hey, Jay, Mind giving a description of what Bear Hands is? Having second thoughts on scaring ppl
thanks y'all

Lawrence,
"Bear Hands" is a packet effect by Geoff Williams (who is a regular poster at the Café) where a little bear jumps on and off your playing card and then appears in a most magical place at the end! Angles are virtually non-existent, and sleights are at a minimum. I would say that the Elmsley is pretty much it. I have done this for people from age 5 to 80 (literally) and they LOVE it. Your best bet would be to send Geoff Williams a Private Message, asking him how to obtain this trick. Geoff is a great guy and would be happy to help you, I'd imagine. His user name is "Geoff Williams". Good luck! Jay |

I bet you could alter Geoff's trick a bit to get Scary Bear Hands for Halloween.
I agree with Jay on the Web Lawrence. There are far to many people who are deathly afraid of spiders to perform this effect on people you don't know.
