Years ago, Harry Houdini was so impressed by a trick by another magician, he paid a lot of money for it. It goes something like this....

A Magician is standing in a room full of people. The Magician raises his sleeves way up onto his arms, showing nothing is there, he leaves them up. He then either pulls out a coin from his pants pocket or borrows one from someone in the room. He shows the coin to all of the people, he pulls out a hankerchief and covers the coin. He walks around the room having everyone in the room reach under the hankerchief and feel and make sure the coin is still there. After everyone has done that, the Magician tosses the hankerchief in the air and the coin has magically disappeared. He shows both sides of his hands and arms, showing that it is not there, proving it really did disappear.

The magician then grabs the hankerchief again. He puts it over his hand, he walks around the room asking everyone to feel under it and make sure the coin IS NOT there. After it has been checked by everyone not being there, the Magician pulls off the hankerchief, revealing the coin in his hand again.

I know how to do the trick, my question is... What is the NAME of this trick?

Anyone know the name of it, and who the magician was that showed and sold it to Harry Houdini so long ago?

Not sure if this is the original name, but on the Michael Ammar Introduction to Coins DVD he called it "Completely Gone."

I think the version with a full glass of liquid is much more impressive...I do not however, know the name.
