Time to clear up a part of magic that has confused me for ages, and I've just never taken the time to learn. Can someone explain the difference between different types of faro shuffle? In faro's, Out faro's, reverse faro's etc. etc. etc. I believe a reverse faro is where you go through and strip out every other card, but other than that, a faro is a faro to me... anyone shed light?

With even or odd deck of cards, the In and Out faros can be characterised by the final position of the top card.
Out Faro, top card stays on top. In Faro, top card is now in second position. Hope that helps! |
