Once you go Mac you never go back!

FileMaker Pro is a great product, but you'll basically be rolling your own solution. That's great if you like to tinker, but be prepared to spend some time learning it. You're getting an "erector set" that's quite powerful.

MagicBase is worth a look, but as it has grown up it has gotten harder to look at; the interface will almost certainly offend anyone with the sensibility to buy a Macintosh.

For ready-to-go contact management, but not specific to the magic or entertainment market, give Daylite a close look. Many people who have switched from the PC say it's better than ACT!

Personally, I use Group Organizer. A new version is said to be in the works, but the current one offers a lot of useful functionality. Mail merge, notes, templates, etc.

Kyle, I have an iMac that runs 9 and X. I'm able to use the old Mac software on system 9.

I was told that they don't make ACT! for system X. Can you Help?

Kyle is using ACT! on a PC because there is no version for OS X. Symantec stopped development of it years ago.
