OK, not Exactly on a booger but I did get your attention, did I not? Fear not! daff will not dissapoint!....let me explain.

Wonder of wonders, IBM has done it again...technology to make your head spin! They have invented the "milliped chip". This little chip, about 2.4 centimeters square, (about the size of good healthy booger) packs 125...count 'em ..125 gigs of information! That's equivalent to more than twenty five DVD Rs, folks! Holy smokes!

It uses a tiny thin plastic membrane that is perforated with "nano holes" where the information is stored.

I don't know about you, but I'm amazed!

Well there have been storage like this long before, that has great storage to space ratio's...

The problems are price and practicality... without those it will stay in their labs for a long time.

That stuff looks great, but me thinks they still have to work the "bugs" out of it.

Where will it all end?
don't know about you, but computers are more smarter than most people. Have you won a game of chess against one lately?

Before long, they will be self-aware.

Let me outa-here - wulfie

Yes, I have won a few ches games against my computer...but I had to work like a dog to get most of thoses wins! (chess computers are notorious for their tactital ability and their penchant to grab any piece that is 'en prise!)

Dear Daff--

Please read my Tragedy and then you might think twice about IBM/windows products.

Read it, thought twice and would still buy a PC over any Apple product. sounded like it was your fault for not backing up. If that happened with a mac you would have had too send it off to an registered apple workshop for repair.

There are ways of beating chess computers by using their programming against them.

AI for computers is at the stage where a computer has equal intelligence to a worm. and even that is pushing it.
