Dear Café,

http://www.sideshowworld.com/phs.html

A Sneak peek at what I went through at the side show. I am looking to produce a book of memories cheap enough, the problem I'm having is that I want full color and I have a DVD/CD-Rom I need reproduced with every book.

Until then, I'll keep sending pics to the side show world site.

The all knowing,

Me

I think the main thing I learned on the road and I added to this books is a simple formula for creating pitchs ballys etc...

There's an into for a show, 2 ballys, blow off, psychic pitch, wonder meese pitch, pitch card, and a lot more. I think the other benefit in the book is that theres a cd-rom that includes many video clips of the performers, gaffs, and pitchs.

Learn to be-

Ms. Electra, who is able to withstand over 50,000 volts of electricity...
Prince of Pain, able to withstand the perils of getting pierced and stapled.
Iron Tongue Wonder, Lift extremely heavy objects with your tongue! No piercing required.
Blockhead, Slam Jam and Cram steel directly into your head!

And much more!

There's just so much stuff that I learned at the sideshow, that I kept a journal of it all. True it was hard work, but to have pictures and videos of ALL the acts, it was well worth it!

-The iron tongue gimmick. Yes theres a trick to lifting 15 pounds of rocks.
-Video and pics of how to make the electric chair gimmick.
-Real pics and video of the pin cushion.
-Description of fire eating.
-Blockhead.
-Glass gaffing.

There's SO MUCH!

Scott,

Your little bird the Aqua’nary
Sounds an awful lot like one of my offerings discussed from time to time on the Café.
The Aqua-keet - the living tall tale.
I have provided a link below to one such posting.

http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/searc......=4125667
You will find mention made of it by others from time to time on the Café. Most recently by a new member named Simone.

I am the only magician/performer that I know of to ever present this act.

Never saw it presented in side shows either.

Here are a couple of links to prove it has been a part of my offerings for corporate entertainment for the past five years.

http://www.islc.net/~magicjim/midnightcarnivalaqukeet.html
your story bears a striking resemblance to the description given on this page.

http://www.islc.net/~magicjim/hype_and_you.html
This offers a full description of the act and hype.

http://www.churchofvirus.org/archive/0201/0524.html
A discussion of Buster the Aqua-keet on another list the Church of the Virus.
A forum dealing with psychology, mimetics, science, philosophy.
(In fact he was discussed a good many times on different threads)
About half way down the page. The thread is 5 years old the date on the top represents when it was reformatted to a new server I believe.

http://www.islc.net/~magicjim/CarnivalIndex.html
Old intro page to the Midnight Carnival of Wonder.

All of the pages listed above are old content left out in cyber space. That is why they are not located on my server. But they do prove I have been presenting the act for at least five years.

My new site at http://www.magicjim.net/ mentions it under trade shows.

Best Wishes

Jim

Well Scott,

I have been hearing from a lot of guys that are not happy with you.

They are using words like theif and stealing.

Some of them have shared their thoughts on people who use other peoples work and claim it to be their own.
