You should also consider getting Steve's DVDs. There are some great sponge bunny bits on them.

Yep - that is how I found about them. I was watching his DVD's and I thought that he had the nicest set of sponge bunnies I had ever seen, so I went to his site and found them

I use a blue sharpie and color in the eyes. It makes them look so much better, and people love the rabbits! Just say the magic words, "Viagra-cadabra"!

You mean the Viagra-cadabra line? No, my humor is RARELY that blue. Or if it is, it is certainly worded to go above the kids heads (if there are any). That is kind of a pet peeve of mine. I believe that if you are going to shade it blue, it better be 1)funny, and 2) above the level of kids understanding, otherwise....well, you are acting irresponsibly.
I use the rabbits for walkaround tables. I have a love-hate with them. People love them, and I hate doing them for EVERYONE. I like the 'surprise' of the small bunnies, so if I did them at the next table I don't want to be approached by, "Oh, do it in my hands, too!" The blue sharpie just makes them look cuter. Now if it's just us adults around.......yes, there is a lot of fun you can have with them. Scott

My "stand-up" comment was a joke.
I agree completely with your approach to using blue material. Yup, it better be funny and above the level of kids' understanding if there are any present. My Sponge Larry Square Pants sponge ball routine on my DVDs contains a lot of blue lines, which I would never use with kids around and would use with adults only in limited circumstances. |

Anyone seen rich marotta's "do the one where the baby rabbits appear" version of this? in other words, where you're asked to repeat the effect and the person basically blew the ending for you?

It's on one of his "close up videos". The walk-around set.
the humor is barely "blue" but funny as hell. I've used it as a.. "here, I'll do it again" phase and believe me it gets huge laughs. not just chuckles, gufaws, and tee hee's. http://www.theambitiouscard.com/details.......VDRM2COM

The effect is incredible. It seems so silly and stupid when you first get it and (if your like me) your hesitant to try and perform it the first time. AFter performing it several times, you'll realize that it has thecute" factor about it and everyone loves it. It truly is the best $10 you'll ever spend.
I even went out and got two extra SUPER jumbo rabbits (they look exactly the same as the others but they are about 2&1/2 to 3 inches long) as a finally and everyone just loves that. |

Quote: I take back what I wrote - I just ordered another set from Steve Dacri's and instead of the handmade bunnies I got the basic goshman bunnies at the premium price of the handmade ones that I was expecting (and had received before). Save your money. On 2006-07-25 16:02, Marvello wrote:

I got one of the 5" grandpa bunnies but don't have a reason to use it yet.

If you routinely perform the rabbits, and often give away a few, you could probably purchase them wholesale from suppliers like FUN, Inc. or D. Robbins; click HERE for more info. You would need to buy a substantial amount, but if you go through them fast enough, it would probably be well worth it. SETH

The wholesale price you can get from any of those places for a box of 3D rabbits would end up costing you more because you're having to buy adult bunnies to go with them. For extra babies I'm pretty sure this is the best deal. At least, I hope so.

I had no idea there were so many different types and uses! Sponge bunnies hold a nostalgic value for me---I already see a lot of my money going towards collecting different types...

Well, I was about to order another box of Red or Green 2" standard Goshman sponge balls, but after seeing these AMAZING Sponge Bunnies, I GOTTA HAVE ME SOME. We have a bunny for a pet, so this just makes more sense to me, and there are so many fun ways you could product the first bunny. I only wish this came with 3 big bunnies, and the babies. I'm just so used to using 3- 2" sponge balls.
Glad I found this thread. Thanks guys/gals... Best...smitty |

This set comes with three large rabbits and five babies. Get two sets if you do this a lot. Also get a bag of babies as well.
