I am trying to find a closing rhyme or statement that I can use that would assist me in reaffirming the ideal of a tip & a thank you for their attentiveness.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Tom

"Thanks for watching
"Or whatever you call it.
"And before you go,
"Hand over your wallet."

I like to get a kid from the audience to collect for me, people are more likely to give it to a cute kid, especially a girl. I also toss in the joke "Now unless everyone tosses in a dollar this child will not see his/her parents again!". Although be very careful with which child you choose, when i first tried this technique the kid tried to walk off with a hat full of cash because he saw a stilt walker down the street.
Of course this may not work for everyone so the next time you are performing prep about ten different lines you want to try and see what works the best, and don't be afraid to try whatever comes off the top of your head. Some of my best material flew out of my mouth before i knew what i was saying. The line you use as well as when you collect can make the difference in how much you get.

From your smiles, I can see you enjoyed the whole show.

So please applaud with your wallet now, before you must go!

How about the following outline for thought starters:-

"It's time for me to go ladies & gentlemen but before I go I'd like to tell you about my young son(daughter)whose waiting for me at home.

Each night when I get home he always asks -Dad did the audience tip you and give you a big clap - if I say yes his eyes light up with happiness.

Should I say no you can see the tears well up in his big blue eyes. ( Show pathos & pause)

So ladies & gentlemen if you'd like to make a small boy happy..............?

It will depend on your type of act, but forms of blackmail may work. Also a gentle reminder that this is your livelyhood
"Please keep in mind as you leave that this job is what keeps me from selling drugs to your kids" (OK this is a bit harsh, but you get the idea).
This sort of line works well with the right delivery as it reminds people that they should probably tip, and that this is how you make your living.
The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and true science. Whoever does not know it and can no longer wonder, no longer marvel, is as good as dead, and his eyes are
