Magician 336, if you're looking for a potentially better trick with a lot more variations, get the sun and moon set ala Hopping Halves. Same gimmick principle and much more possibilities, good plot, etc....oh, and more $$.

I do want to thank all of you who have gotten my gaffless version for asking about it. Some have asked why I'm giving this away. Well, that's a sample from my lecture. I have lots of other things that are just as good -- some are things you may have never seen before. And all of them are tested on real, live people.

I have a Johnson set and a magn***c set from Eddie Gibson. They both work great.
I like the mag set because you can do some unique things with it that you can't with the non mag sets. TomK |

I have a set from Sterling Magic that requires a B___ R___ to reset it, which is a pain to use. Is the magnetic set easier/quicker, basically a no brainer for rapid reset? Is there a noticeable difference in quality between Todd's set and the set that I currently own?
And for the non gaff work, Bill Palmer was incredibly kind to share his approach with me (which is my next project to tackle). Thanks Bill! Dan

Solidimageartsllc,
That would be correct; the reset is much easier/quicker. However, it can't really be handed out. It could if they only looked at it briefly, but if they handle it, they might discover something. With a locking one (B... R... style) they could examine the coin without problem. Hope that helps. TomK |

I just got my magnetic set from Tango - I love it. If you are thinking of getting a S&S get this one. I have worn out 2 S&S's - why didn't I think of a magnetic set?

Anyone care to share their S&S routine?
For mine I go on about how it is the finest sleight of hand in the world and produce the vanished coin out of my mouth. I love it - it a great effect to approach a table with felix |

Are you performing the entire routine with a duplicate coin in your mouth? If so, I prefer to simply load it on the person beforehand.

In my routine I have the half dollar and the centavo in the palm of my right hand, then I place half dollar on top of the centavo then close my right hand into a fist palm down then I do the same thing with my left hand, then with my thumb and first finger of my left hand I go into the fist of my right hand and pull out the half dollar then I grab the half dollar with my thumb and first finger of my right hand, then I turn over the half dollar a couple of times to show it's a normal coin, then I take the coin and push it into the fist of my left hand now with the right hand palm up I slowly open my right hand to show it is empty then I turn over my right hand a couple of times to show the back of the hand now with the left hand palm up I slowly open that hand to show the half dollar and centavo.

I've been very happy with the quality of Johnson's coins. I have some other brands and the quality varies from ok to poor. But every Johnson set I've bought is a masterpiece.

Also, I prefer the B____ R____ locking versions as they are quite freely examinable by the spec.

I have the Sterling and I think it's great you can hand out the half dollar and the spectator can look all they want and will not find ANYTHING wrong with it, now as for the centavo well it's not a real centavo and it doesn't have a date on it but that's no big deal.
