Do any of you still perform this in your acts?

I don't perform grand illusions. But I think a lot of people know the secret. However, it is a classic in magic.

I do a version called long devision, where the girl is standing up not laying down. I also built a Wakling, which is great for doing the classic version.

I want to add it to my shows but I want to get the buzz saw version, the kind that David Copperfield did in his special. But the price tag on it is $29,000.00 but that is the GRAND in grand illusions, with it be so visual. Right now I do the wakeling and thin model in the same show, the way I work it people get a kick out of it!

Hi Lusion

If you are thinking about having a go at performing David Copperfields Buzz Saw I would think again. David Copperfield will not release the performance rights! This man has got the money to take you to court!

For some good plans on the Thin Model Sawing you might wanna check out Paul Osbornes Classic Illusions Vol 1. Has two different versions of the thin sawing and some decent plans and modifications.

I perform Steinmeyer's Audience Dismember. I like it because I can use someone from the audience and there is plenty of comedy!

Don't be so sure. David getting older and older. Who knows when he retire? He'll pass over some of his things as Doug did. He'll choose one or two talented magician and the show will go on and on as Freddy (Queen) sang before. AT least I hope

I perform the wakeling sawing. It is one of the highlights of my show. The whole illusion takes place in the audience minds, because the assistant is never visible when the trick happens. I also perform a mini kub zag which is a sawing of sorts, I would highly recommend both.

I once saw the "Impossible Sawing" by creative illusions (that one S6R did in their show). For me one of the best versions ever...

If they are you are looking at a good 12 to 14 grand for that illusion. And that does not include the buzz saw. It is a sweet illusion.

Who else has one besides S&R

I'm not sure, but didn't Criss Angel perform it at some point? I seem to remember the table being hung from chains.

I used to have a impossible sawing but it was 'impossible' to work with.
Siegfried & Roy spend a lot of money to make it work as did Phillipart who bought the sawing from me.
