You get work on a cruise ship. Do you contact the company who runs the cruise ships or do you hire an agent to get you work on there. Also how many different shows do you have on the cruise ship? At the moment I have thought of 4.

Both! You can get an agent (there are many agents nowadays that specialize in the cruise entertainment industry) or you can contact a certain cruise line directly.

I second Jim's reccomendation.

Fred is a good friend of mine and his book is a leading authority on the subject!

Hi all
I am pleased to say that I have finally put together the book on Cruise Ship Entertainment. It has been in the making for over two years now and finally it is out!
It is a 240 page book jam packed with all the information you will need to get you on a cruise ship! PLUS it comes with a DVD of what life is like on a ship for a guest entertainer. The book not only has some great contacts but includes a chapter of effects I perform on ships plus some routines from other performers.

The reason I put it together is simply because I get at least 20 emails a week from magicians - mostly directed from the magic Café - asking me questions about working on ships.
