Found my ole rubicks "revenge" cube in a box last night. Anyone know the best place to get the solution for this? (I solved it once accidently.)

There are a few places on the web that have the solution. But you have to understand their nomenclature etc. A year or so ago I unearthed an old Rubiks cube which I used to solve very quickly. But I couldn't remember some of the sequences to finish it. I had learned a solution from a book 30 years ago. I looked on Ebay and found the exact same book. I was solving it in under a minute the day I recieved the book.

There's a program that solves those for you (you put the colors in and it tells you the moves to complete it from there). I remember seeing it on http://www.techtv.com awhile back. Haven't been there since, bit you can give it a shot.

You could always cheat, but it is a real pain pealing off all of those little colored stickers and arranging them in order.

A little passe. Presto! 4x4 cubes are rare.
Will you walk into my parlour? said the Spider to the Fly,
Tis the prettiest little parlour that ever you did spy; The way into my parlour is up a winding stair, And I've a many curious things to show when you are there. Oh no, no, said the little Fly, to ask me is in vain, For who goes up your winding stair -can ne'er come down again. |

You can find out how to solve it at Jaap's Puzzle Page : Rubik's Revenge / Master Cube / 4x4x4 Rubik's cube.

We had a guy in the Navy, this was when the Rubiks Cube was really hot, who would sit in the chow hall drunk out of his mind and people would hand him their cube and he'd slur a bit then seconds later it would be solved! Good stuff.

You should have screwed with him. Take a piece or two out of the cube and replace them with the wrong orientation. Voila' an unsolvable cube!!

I hate to say this but I've never laid a finger on a rubiks cube. That would have required me to put aside my drinky and my smoke and that wouldn't have been tolerable back then.

I got a book that tells solutions to the rubicks cube and I read it, but its too confusing and I just don't get it.
