Hi Magic Rob,
I checked out the antenna connections in both the remote and the monkey and they are soldered well. Im planning to get a new set of wires and replace the existing antennas Thanks for trying to help Wanlu

I don't know a great deal about these things, but I do know that the optimum antenna length is related to the frequency of the transmitter/receiver. - Too short, or too long and it won't work well!
Did a quick search on the internet, but couldn't find a definitive guide, it all depends on the particular equipment that you are using. - Perhaps you may have better luck! (If you replace the reciver antenna wire, perhaps you could fine tune it by snipping off say an eighth of an inch at a time until you find the best length to use?) |

... further to my message above, try this...
http://www.crompton.com/wa3dsp/hamradio/antcalc.html ...if you can find the frequency of your transmitter... the ones that I have used in the past have been around 433 Mhz. Then you just trim the antenna to one of the lengths shown. |
