Any reviews on Celebri-Tie ?
It looks great, but, I am interested in it's limitations in the real world ? Can it be used in the middle of an act ? How easy is it to clean up ? After trick is over, can you trun around ? etc. etc. Thanks !

Actually, I beg to differ...there is a lengthy thread on the product, but very little in the way of "review" by those who have used the product in show conditions.
If anyone has performed the Celebritie in shows, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the gimmick...

It can be used anytime during your act. You need to be wearing a coat obviously. You cannot turn around without your coat on. Cleanup is a breeze. You just put your coat back on and carry on with your show. There is a set up at the beginning that you must do when you are first putting your suit on. The cleanup requires the same in reverse.

Actually I have been working with this for some time. I will tell you that after awhile of wearing it the tie will bunch up. I would do it as an opener and then go on with the rest of the routine.

This can be adapted to any tie? Is there any other way to have the coat hanging from one shoulder? Because that0s what I didn't like it. It is a not so normal way to put the coat hanging from the shoulder.

You have to wear something over your sholder to hide your arm.
You can adapt the effect to any tie as long as you can sew well. Try this scenario. You wear a coat and jacket on the stage. You take off your hat, produce a microphone from it. Place the hat on a coat rack on the side of the stage. While you place the mic on the mic stand a stage hand comes on and (accidentally) removes the coat rack. You do not notice and proceed to remove your jacket. When you see no place to hang your coat casually place it over your shoulder. S. Patrick |
