Who is John Mendoza? Hey Pete, did you ever talk with Joe about my thoughts on this trick. I'd really like to get one (and only one,) made.

Seriously, is this (at $90) better value than brass colour deception (around $15) .
$90 seems a lot for a chip trick? |

What is the effect of Brass Color Deception? Anything like Haden's Double Copper and Silver in Bobo's Modern Coin Magic?

Totally different impression left on spekkie. Those brass color disks, IMO, bring first and foremost the idea "gimmick", while a poker chip is not only topical but an actual real-life object. Personally, I would never (and have never) use those disk tricks, magnetic locks or not.
Like Bonnie Raitt said, "I miss Little Feat more than I miss being 8 years old." Thanks for the concerts + recordings, Lowell, Richie, and Paul!

I agree. That Color Deception Trick (Magic Makers) looks like a magic shop trick. I think most spectators will easily figure out how it's done. At $15.00, it's overpriced.

I bought a set today when they arrived in the shop. What can I say, they are beautiful. I like the routine, but I don't like the fact that in the first 3 phases, the red chip is taken out, but that's nothing really, just my silly little mind. Is there anywhere I can learn other routines to do with these?

Chris... nothing wrong with working out your own routine... look in Bobo for Haden's double copper and silver and see what Doc Eason does... frankly, I like the fact that the $5.00 chip is always "left alone" while I have "stolen" (from the Casino) the $25 and the $10,000.
Guys like Dean Dill and R. Paul Wilson and Paul Green have come up with other routines, oh and so has James Lewis. Stay tooned...

Pete, this looks really good. I like the use of the Himber concept.

Dohlan, the trouble with looking up old threads is that they are treated like current events ,but they are history.
Theposters p Pete Biro and runaway jag have passed away and the review king as well as zombie magic were banned years ago. Perhaps starting a new thread would be more approiate. |

Thanks Glenn. Everything up to the last sentence makes sense and will keep in mind, I had not considered some effects may be out of print.
On what is appropriate, not so sure - Please remember that some of us are hobbyists. I am not keeping track of who is banned from an Internet forum. I’m having trouble understanding how my post to suggest a preferred product would change based on knowledge of another user not behaving, I am thinking a comment from objective user may balance any biased comments. My comments were wholly about the products and nothing to do with preferred user A or banned user B. That is unfortunate about Pete, I enjoyed his contributions on this site. I’ll try to check if items are obsolete before posting going forward. I will likely not keep track of which contributors are on the naughty and nice lists.

I only .mentioned the ones who were banned to show he is no longer posting.l was not trying to disparage them.zombie had a good deal of supporters.
A vast majority of us are hobbiests.s am I. I only meant commenting on posts from so long ago may not be as useful as a new reviewi do not believe many people read posts from 9 and 14 years ago I do not believe e you were inapproiate just that having a conversation with people that are no.longer here might be better directed to a current post might be more useful. Of course do S you wish o offense was meant ant. No list of banned people is kept by me.I do not even understand why some of the few I remember were banned. If I have offended you I apologise. |
