I heard last night 'dirty tricks' getting a roasting from 'magic radio'.
However I was given this lead by a friend: http://www.2magicians.com It would appear that the Stuart & Barry team (that's their website) recorded the guy and re-edited it. It's a good site. click the 'sandwich' to hear the clip

By the way... I posted a review of Kennedy's book. (no, I don't get money for this, but I love to support those who deserve it)

Yes very weak,
If you are going to criticize a show do so with at least a little thought and focus on the real areas, I'm not a fan of Dirty Tricks but I'm not totally against it. I think the weakest links in the show are Ali Cook and the escapologist guy.. Sorry name escapes me. I think Barry and Stuart are the strongest elements in the show.. which may or may not be some sort of mild compliment?? A.R.

Surely we must have forgot someone? Is there anyone else out there ACTUALLY doing magic for the public in high profile places (rather than most on here that, I suspect like me just perform for a few friends) that we haven't slagged off yet? Or maybe I have joined the wrong forum

You haven't so much joined the wrong forum Ian. But rather you have joined with the wrong assumptions, with the regard to the status of many of the mentalists/magicians here in The Café.
Anyway, you're an innocent looking lad, with a charming smile. Welcome. Bobser. ps: You're not Drew McAdam's son are you?

Well I went to see the Torquay show.
It was very enjoyable. The only weaknesses in my view were that the spoon bending is too small for folks to see (Geller used close circuit TV when he did it). Also a lot of the final sceance stuff was tricky to see - and I was on the second row. It was however a very enjoyable evening. There was a problem with the advertising blurb because I heard a fair few people saying they were disapointed because they were expecting a medium show. You may say that these folks must be thick - but there weree a fair few saying it. Kennedy gave a very confident performance. It was certainly worth the £14.00 - although some of the effects were too small for the stage I felt. PK |
