I completely understand the rationale for selecting an audience member randomly, via some soft object being strewn about the audience until a random occurence causes it to stop (i.e., music stops playing, etc.) Thus you ensure a random selection and "hopefully" eliminate the thought of stooge.
But, I also completely understand the desire to exercise control in selecting volunteers (i.e., those who are most eager to be on stage probably aren't the best candidate for the job). So, which wins? Obviously personal preference...so...share your preference and, if possible, your rationale for such? E
Your EFFECT is only as good as its AFFECT.
