A cautionary tale:
I ordered The Puzzle (Sagiv Levy), the effect with a framed jigsaw puzzle of the Mona Lisa. The puzzle came mounted on flimsy corrugated cardboard, which had caused the puzzle to buckle and warp. The instructions from Raphael Cohen, the maker, say: "If, for any reason you have received a damaged product, please contact us and we will ensure your appropriate compensation." However, Cohen blew me off, saying that he wouldn't help because I hadn't purchased the trick directly from him, but from one of his dealers. I felt that the guarantee is the guarantee. Bottom line is, he manufactures the item and should stand behind it. Fortunately, I had bought the The Puzzle from Hank Lee, who has integrity and stands behind what he sells. He made everything right, and I thought I'd take this opportunity to praise his customer service. (You can imagine what I think of Raphael Cohen's, in contrast.) I recommend Hank Lee as an honest dealer. Cheers, Jerry |
