Years ago, when I was a young magician, I borrowed my boss's Sony video camera and video tape deck to film a show. I still have the tape of that performance (and a tape of a Doug Henning special from the tv screen.)
I would like to transfer this video to either VHS format or DVD. The problem is... I haven't found anyone who has the capabilities to do the transfer. The tape is half-inch reel-to-reel and is black and white. It can only be played on Helical Scan Video recorders. All the video transfer companies I've contacted say the same thing, "Good luck finding someone to do that!" Am I outa luck... or can someone help steer me in right direction?

Here's a site I found by googling "old video equipment".
http://www.specsbros.com/consumerservices.htm Seems to be right what you need. Bryan
Oh sure, I can spell "Antidisestablishmentarianism", but I can't type t-h-e.
