I really wish there was an edit post option available to members at any time. Often there are typos, and words left out, wrong words used, etc. Sometime people post much too quickly before we can edit them, or else we may not notice until the edit-time has passed. It kind of makes me feel really embarrassed when I notice errors in my posts which I can't fix. Just a suggestion which would make me extremely happy...and greatful. Please consider! Thank you...

Nell, this function is no longer available to members for several reasons. Editing feature allows a post to be deleted. If a member were to delete his or her own post, replies may not make sense any longer. Also, some members might change their post after a reply with the same result. These are just a few reasons for the restriction.

If you find that something needs to be fixed, regardless of how simple it is, just report the post with the correction you'd like and the staff will take care of it. That's part of their job and we really don't mind doing it.

With all due respect, people should be able to edit their own work, and delete their posts if they deem it necessary. I understand how things could become confusing if many posts were deleted, but at the same time it would tactfully deal with many more issues. Thanks for your response...

You can edit your own post until either 30 minutes has elapsed or someone replies to your post. After that, all you can do is report it to the staff.

The staff is constantly roaming the forums looking for obvious errors like spelling, grammar, word omissions or incorrect word usage. Their efforts combined with those of the individual member take care of most of the problems on the Café.
