Where you put a coin on your palm (flat) and one on top on it's end and another in your fingers sandwiching it, sort of like an I shape,
fingers.
---------
!
! vertical coin.
!
!
---------
palm.

then the coin in the middle is mysteriously caused to spin.

I did the most amazing one about an hour ago, it span about 12 times really fast, then fleew off, quite amazing,

The vertical coin would be in the middle of the two ontop and below.

It's something that got folks thinking. And that's a good thing.

Some might take a flourish approach and others might want to apply some ideas from the Downs book.

What's important is the challenge. How you face the challenge is up to you.

Hurray for those coin myths!
...to all the coins I've dropped here

Well, I don't know if it really is a myth. Recently on one of those world poker championships a guy was spinning a poker chip between the other two with great ease and fluency. While there is a big difference between a poker chip and a coin, if it can be done with one...it can be done with the other!

as I said, "anyone can do this"...obviously implying that I can too...you could teach this to someone who doesn't even work with coins in a couple minutes...its quite simple...but no one can keep it going forever

Do you blow on it?!? How do you get it to spin? Or rather, where is the book that would have all that info in it.

I believe this spin is in Paul Harris in the Art of Astonishment Book 1. He mentions using 3 coins instead of the palm and finger. Actually the pressure of both coins (top and botom) makes the vertical coin spins.

The three coin method is the one I was talking about...I put a coin on my thumb and my index finger and put the veritcal coin in between and spin it...I'll have to look in Art Of Astonishment...

I hope this isn't wrong to post links. If it is I'm sorry. This site gives you a good idea of how it looks.
