Greetings everyone!

Magic is a visual art ... therein lies my problem.

I am about to embark on a multi radio station "tour" (interviews) to promote a new magic related product and I need some ideas on effects to perform that will play for the radio listening audience.

I want to avoid the "move three spaces to the left ... now diagonally two spaces... blah, blah, blah..."

Does anyone know of any reference material written on this subject matter?

You might want to check out the mentalism section for "thought-reading", "thought-projection", and "predictions."

Nothing amazes an audience more than when the magic happens in their own minds.

I wish I had some sources to point you to, but I hope this helps.

Banachek put out a cassette.
Call Denny Haney for ideas and stuff.
You have to give it away to keep it.

There is a book, "Magic For Blind People." I do not remember the author.

I said it before and I will say it again. Meir Yedid's "Total Destiny" is perfect for the radio. Check it out!!!

Just talk about your fav magicians, the effects they do/did. Instead of performing for them, paint a picture of an act for them to see in their mind's eye. Describe in not too many details magic you do— the effect from your audience's point of view and the reaction you get when you perform it. They will create the "show" in their heads. That is what radio has always been about ... creating TV in the head.
Oh sure, I can spell "Antidisestablishmentarianism", but I can't type t-h-e.
