No sir. You don't want to use these things. If your problem is tiny hands use bridge cards. There are also several threads at the Café that can help you with your efforts.

The best card catcher around is the very hands you used to submit your question
You can do it! Im sure you've heard reference to McBride's tapes and various books on subject of card manipulation. Begin practicing your technique now and stick with it. Once developed, your hands will do for you what no catcher could. Best wishes! Randy |

Abbott's sells a pretty good card catcher. I'm not big on them either, but if you just want to produce a number of cards, then it will work just fine. Marvey has found a new way of using one, and it's not a bad thing to play with.
Do learn to do it with just your hands as well though, as there are many moves the catcher won't help you with. If your hands are small, use smaller cards. Shave them if you have to. Never feel bad about using a gimmick. The effect is all you should be worried about. Sable
I don't believe in reincarnation, but I may have in another life.

When you said Marvey has a new one are you referring to the gimmick he uses at WGM III that we were discussing earlier?

Yah, i agree. You don't need any card catchers. I have made my verision of the Marvey card catcher but dropped it. I would recommend leaving the thought of manipulation till your hands get bigger. Try to work on close-up untill your 14, like me. Although, if you really want to manipulate get Marvey's card and some McBride tapes. You will not be disappointed

Pyro_magic,
If u don't mind telling, how did you make Marvey's version of a card catcher? I can see him release it in his performance at the WGM III but i can't really make out whats its made of. |
