I've decided yesterday to learn the muscle-pass (and so the bruising begins).
But before I get too far along, I think an important first question is what coin to begin with. I noticed I had on my dresser this 100th Anniversary S.A.M. gold coin which is about a silver-dollar size, is specially milled on the side for better palming, and is pretty thick and heavy. I can sometimes get the coin to pop-up BETTER than I can a poker chip or a half dollar (?!) My question is, has anyone used this coin in a muscle-pass and would it give good results, or if anyone is familiar with this coin, is it a good coin to start with. (My next question, that I'll make another post for, is what is a good one-coin routine that I can do with this coin). Thanks! Asmayly |

hey, my advice is to do it with a coin the size of a silver dollar, and heavy.
and after a month of it, and if you can pop the *** thing 1inch or 2inch, go back to a half dollar, and that thing will float. thats what i did, now my quarters fly lol. weight training is the way to go good luck, and if your skin comes off, its times to let it rest ^_^ LiquidSn |

I must admit when i was learning I did appreciate the slightly rounded edges of the half dollar. Until you build a callous(?) on your hand it can be a little painful. Don't let that put you off though, it has to be the best thing you can do with a coin.....next to spending it of course.

I find it one of the most magicial effects I do. Learn it. I learned it and developed a callus in 3.5 months. I worked my hand hard in order to get that thing hopping. I learned it at Abbotts and practiced the entire ride home. By the time I was in Traverse, I was jumping it about 2 inches - a half dollar. My hand was red and it hurt. It made me smile! I kept practicing - many times a day and now I can muscle pass about 1 foot or 1 foor 4 inches. Not too bad for a young'n.
I think - when your hand starts to loose the flesh, your almost there! haha. -Casey |
