The Micheloto Trilogy of balloon books, starting with fantastic balloons are as good as anywhere to start and for most magicians I've seen perform they have more than you're likely to use. There is a book called balloon hats I think Butterfingers sell it (www.butteringers.co.uk) but I don't know it so can't recommend it. I started with the All Winds and Twists series of books but they now look fairly dated, as does the Marvin Hardy book. The websites mentioned above are a very good source but I find I learn better from books and from personal tuition (go to a clown or juggling convention and you'll be sure to find someone who can help you.

I agree...mbd2.com is probably a great place to start. Captain Visual's Big Book of Balloon Art is a pretty good book for beginners and it has some more advanced items as well. The Pallocini series of books are pretty good for making balloon characters (Goofy, Donald Duck, etc.)
I've learned a lot off mbd2, balloonhq, and other sites like that as well. |

Hi Jon:
T Myers still sells a book called "Way Cool Hats" that's pretty good. I bought it a couple years ago, but noticed it's still for sale at his site. The hats are pretty fancy, requiring multiple balloons. Another option: If you want to go the video/DVD route, there are a number of sources - I don't have it yet, but I hear Don Caldwell's new video/DVD on balloon hats is the Best Ever. Ron |

Don Caldwell's MAD HATZ & WILD WEARABLES Vol.1 is indeed a great DVD, if you are a medium to advancer twister. However, it will probably be a bit of a challenge if you are a beginner. For beginners I would strongly recommend starting with Tom Myers' BALLOON HATS Vol.1 & 2. You can find these books and more at http://www.tmyers.com/MW1/Home.html
