Not sure this is the right place, but here goes.
Is anyone from the USA coming over to London UK in the next few weeks/months. If so I would like to talk to you about bringing some Popcorn salt over for me because it is just not available over here and I would like to experiment with it for the salt pour. Please, please PM me if you are interested in helping my research. many thanks, Dave

I've had the same problem finding popcorn salt in the Uk. After hours and hours of searching (no exageration) I found one place on the internet that stocks it for the UK. (No where in the US will send it international)
http://obcusa.co.uk/shop/product_info.ph......a1bb104a Very expensive, £7.10 a pot and they charge £20 postage. Total rip-off if you ask me. Of course, I never got any :-( |

Have you tried regular salt in a coffee/spice grinder?

Someone suggested LO Salt which works pretty well for me (I'm using it for Kozaks Salt Pour). I tried one brand of regular salt in a blender, but it seemed to lump together. Suppose it depends on the brand.

Thanks,MagicM - it seems like that they don't hold actual stocks, so you can't even pick it up from them! Looks like they e-mail orders out to the USA and it is mailed out from there. I have e-mailed them just to clarify and will let you know.
Sure have tried the grindingb thing, but would like to compare the end result with p'corn salt. If the 'masters'rave about it then there must be something about it. Best of, Dave

No problem. Whenever I get the time I check around the web for it. If I ever find it cheaper I will let you know. I can't see why Mortons won't ship internationally. Stupid if you ask me.

MagicM - I got a reply.
They take the orders, send them to the US and it is posted directly from there - ho hum! I'm sure Mortons would send it directly to us, but the postage would be the same -then again, I would like 'pounds' of the stuff, not a few ounces! I'm not giving up yet- this 'classic' of magic is too good to ignore. Best of, Dave

I emailed Mortons I while back and they told me they don't send internationally at this time. I seem to remember some guy in Canada not being being able to get it from them! That may have changed by now. Will try emialing again.
I'm not giving up either ![]() Darren |

If all else fails use an Apothecary's mortar and pestle to grind the regular salt into powder. Will also strengthen your wrist and finger muscles.
FWIW! Cheers! ![]()

Thanks, Stanyon, at least you brought a smile to my face.
I was considering that very same thing, but I STILL want to try this p'corn salt!! Best of, Dave
