I know that there are varying levels of secrecy on this website for the different private forums BUT...

There have been times and questions that I have had that I only want certain people to respond to. Not that I don't want others to reply, but its because I don't want to over expose something.

One example:
After purchasing a trick, say "Product X," I had some questions I wanted on it. Yet at the time, that "Product X" was very new and I didn't want to openly expose the trick.

Another example, I saw a movie recently which had some magic in it. It was near the end and if I were to say what I wanted to know (how it could be related to a performing form of magic) then it would have ruined the movie for others who may have wanted to see it. If I could have a private forum for me and people who had seen that movie, then we could have gotten the question answered without exposing the end of the film.

So what I am proposing:
Open a new forum section called something like, "Society of Secrets." (or whatever)
Then within that forum, an inquiry is asked in the initial post. People who have that trick, seen that movie, etc can then PM the person who originated the question. If the person who posted the initial inquiry feels that person could answer their question, then they let them into the actual part of the post which asks the question which would have normally lead to excessive exposure.

Let me know what you think or if I need to clarify...

It seems you answered your own question. PMing is the answer. Post your request on an appropriate forum and ask people that are interested to PM you. Serious discussions only. Try that and see how it works. I've done that with a couple of people that have wanted specific information and it works very well.
