Ok, So I use the center tear from Explicit Content, Its not very well known, And not to difficult eather. Its called North Of the Boarder, My question being, Do you think that I should learn another tear? Or will this one suffice. If so which tear do you use?

Learn another CT (or two or three) or/and a peak or two.
It is always good to have a small arsenal to use, and alswo to vary your methods. Sven

Thanks, That was really fast. Which center tear do you reccomend? I could always go back to cordinas. and look for some center tears in there, I have heard a lot of good things about the perfect center tear... But I don't have the money for mind mysteries, I could get the center tear booklet by Oisterland (SP)... But I don't know if its worth it. Im fairly new to mentalsm... I don't really think performing a CT surrounded is necisary, Because I'm normally performing strolling, For smaller groups who stay in front of me anyway.

The PCT Booklet actually teaches you actually just as much ( if not more) as the video.
In addision to the PCT, the book contains a lot of other routines and valuable things to learn, and is IMHO one of the best buy you can get. In addition the to PCT I use, and always recommend The Classic CT. It works very well, and there are a lot of ways to do it, everything from Corinda's to Banacheks, Richardsons's and a lot of other's ideas on it. Sven Sven

I higly can recommend PCT by Richard Osterlind. I also use it often when performing CT. Its really not very difficult to learn and very useful.
Another good source would be the Video tape from Lee Earle 'Center Tear-Teach in". There her explains another good technique about CT I also use sometimes and can recomend. The tape is a about 29,- at http://www.thecentertear.com. But if you only can spend money for one booklet I would go for Osterlinds' PCT since its more practical in every situation. In my experience, I would say that the PJ Tear is the best tear method out there. I used to used Osterlind's PCT, but I no longer use it since I learned the PJ Tear. It also can be used as a peak if the tear is not desired, depending on performance conditions.

I believe its Gerry McCambridges's and from what I know you have to be PEA to learn it, but that may have changed since the last time I heard about it.

Is he the one on Banacheck PK Silverware?
I go back and forth between PCT and original CT. I agree with Sven, its good to know more than one just in case you get called on one or someone guesses. I also use the Business Card Peek (Osterlind has a demo on his watch routine). I use this for numbers.

Indeed Candini.
I still use the PCT the most, but Osterlind's/OO peeks are great. Used well, a peek wallet can also be very effective. Also, do not forget the power of a billet switch in a routine - very underused. Simon |

Learning many variations of the CT is always good PLUS having one or two peeks in your arsenal

Guess my timing was all off. Ah yes the ol billet switch also. I sometimes only use this for certain routines (thinking inside the box) like Name/Place but this can be so handy. One can excuse himself to go get something, ie, water because of verge of passing out etc......

Candini:I appreciate you candid admittance of a less than perfect night.I think we all have them, just as any other performer or athlete does.
This is how we become better..by recocnizing it..and making changes. I am sure you are already thinking about changes that will make your next performance better. Personally,I think I would get very bored if there was nothing to improve on. Nobody is perfect..but striving to get there is a hell of a lot of Fun. **This post of course is in reference to your earlier post on another thread re:PCT. Best. Rich |
