I am studying the Erdnase color change but the only refrence I have on it is Oz Perlmans DVD, Born to Perform, which doesn't go much into detail on tips and gotchas, angles etc. Just hoping y'all might have some pointers.

Hey Christian,
When the deck is held horizontal the angles are best, even if surrounded. Tip the front end down a bit for better visibility. Sources for the Erdnase (aka Houdini) Color Change can be found in: "The Expert at the Card Table" by Erdnase. "Revelations" video tape Vol. 6 by Vernon. Likely the book too. In the book "Carneycopia" under Side-Pocket Transpo, there is nice technique. I have done this in a circular motion at times by angling the swithed in card left and sliding over the heel of my thumb for the change. Tough move for me when my hands are too dry. An Advanced Café search should turn up more on this as well. Good Luck. Hope this helps. |

Giobbi's Card College vol.3 has a nice variation and the instructions are explicit. Good luck!

Not to mention Jat Sankey - who seems to use this move on every dvd.
And in every trick he has developed. |
