G'day has anyone got any good recommendations for brochure and business card templates for the childrens entertainer? Something where you basically fill in the gaps and can print it off to send to potential clients.
Other recommendations for promotional type material (such as $1000 bills etc) would be good too! cheers Andy |

Too vague, too broad, too general. For those who have a complete lack of artistic ability, I think it's okay to use the computer-type templates for the basic layout (most word processing programs have basic brochure layouts built in), but to simply "fill in the blanks" will tell nothing about YOU and is probably worthless.
Sammy Smith had a book out years ago that may still be available. I think it was called "Sell your act with brochures and flyers." It had wonderful examples from the most basic for selling down-and-dirty $75 programs, to nicely printed color pieces for higher-end bookings. Look into it. |

I agree that a personalixed and quality design by a designer is the way to go to really brand yourself ijn the best light. However, if you are on a limited budget or are just starting out, then there are other solutions you can try.
1) Ed Harris used to out out great artwork and clip art and brchs and certificates as well as brchs that could be used by placing your name or logo onto them. Eric Paul in PA now carries Ed's products exclusively and you can order a CD with the art and tamplates from Eric's website. 2) Another place to check out would be http://www.stocklayouts.com. This is really more of a designers haven where they store prfessionally designed templates for a variety of design options and formats. You can take a look at the different designs and then download a template for a small fee. These might be of interest to you. Kyle
