Does anyone know if the effect Jeff McBride does called 'The Rainmaker' is obtainable?
Is so, where can the effect be bought or the rights be bought?
I have done searches on the web with no success.
I haven't contacted Jeff yet. Thought I would ask here first.
Thanks in advance!

I think McBride's "Rainmaker" is found in the book "Magic for Dummies" and the DVD "The Magic of Jeff McBride".

I think we are talking about 2 different things Brian.
The Rainmaker can be seen on his Abracadazzle DVD.
He uses 2 bowls and after drinking the water more appears.
This is repeated many times. It's a nice effect and would lend itself
well to a Christian show.

Oh I'm sorry. I thought you were describing the trick where he produces water either from silks or paper napkins.

His "Fool Us" performance can be seen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9PL-uhjG5U. Jeff teaches his original effect in a 3-day master's class in Las Vegas. Contact Abigail to schedule. This is the only way to obtain this effect lawfully, including full performance rights. McBride works with the student, to customize the performance to each performer. As you said, Daniel, it would work well in a Christian show, with themes of Baptism or God provides: Luke 12:27.

It is an oldie, published in a German book, it was performed by Cas Boxley using tea cups. He called it MO' WATER. IT USES NO GIMMICKS.

I'm a little late to the show, but.. You can find a version of (what I assume to be )the method, in Scott Alexander's Water Monte in his "Midnight Show".

Jeff McBride, sent out a news letter, just yesterday, he has started a new project, see his website. He will be holding classes on his magic he performed on Penn and Teller and Masters of Illusion shows. He will provide all the props as well.

After a PM, Sponge no longer disagrees with my earlier statement.
