Where does one get the proper coins for The Charming Chinese Challense?
I thought you could get them from Troy but I don't have his email address any longer. I've decided to look into learning this effect. I see lots of possibiliies. Thanks, Frank

Frank,
I would honestly suggest using either Todd Plasters coins which can be found at: Youwantitwegotit.us Or Consider using Sterling Chinese Coins. From what I've seen they are the best coins for the value. Not the pewter ones, but the black and brass coins. I think they run about $7.50 per retail. Happy hunting

I second http://www.themagicianscoin.com !!!!!
its no secret I'm a fan and use their dollar sized coins for CCC all the time, in addition for other coin routines using their shell! I love em and I've played with many different coins, these are the best imho! |

Frank:
The coins at magicianscoin.com have received some VERY good reviews here at the Café. I think the one negative I've heard is that they don't really look like genuine Chinese Coins. I love the look! - I'm planning on getting some myself for CCC. Ron |

Troy uses or did use the Sterling Chinese Coins. They are really thin, which aid in some of the displays. The thinker coins are nice for some routines, but I would go with the thin ones for CCC.
Best, Joe

The set I bought from Troy, included a purse, ribbon and four "Feng Shui" coins.
They are dollar sized and a bit thicker than a dime. They work very well. You can see what they look like here: http://www.planetbonsai.com/feng_shui_coins.html |

I agree with mystre71. I personally own chinese coins from Sterling and Johnson. And I personally like Sterling's since it's thinner and I like the "larger outer golden circle".... just my own taste.
I bought a Charming Chinese Challenge Coin Set from hocus-pocus, which includes everything you need for this routine except the robbin and the routine itself ;-)
It only takes a minute to learn how it is done, but takes a lifetime to learn how to do it.
You've got a coin? |

Why don't you use real imperial chineese coins, for this great routine?
get you coins and you ribbon out from an "inro" and a great part of the magic is done. |
