What era do you feel a tie with in the past OR what time would you like to go back to?

The 10's-20s, Hollywood.

With my current knowledge, I suppose I'd opt for 1975...when Microsoft was a penny stock...and buy all I could. Other than that, I'm not sure where I'd rather be. For me, these are the good ol' days! [Although it would be REALLY cool to meet Ben Franklin and fly a few kites together!]

I've been researching the Family History and managed to go back 7 generations. We actually came from the East End of London. Great Great Grandfather was born in 1841
and married in Bethnal Green in 1864..this is during the period Charles Dickens wrote most of his famous novels and so I am really intrested in seeing the dramas and recreations on TV which depict that period. Currently on BBC over here we have a new adaptation of his murder mystery -Bleak House ..much easier to take in than actually reading the book, which is a bit of a slog.. I got half way through and gave up.

I feel a tie to the 1950s, the early to mid-1800s, and the Middle Ages. Perhaps I've lived in those eras before..........

I am definately supposed to be in the Victorian era. The magic, the crime, the repressed sexuality. . . I'm not sure what this says about me, really.

Three possibilities, knowing what I know now:

Late 1800's as a Victorian Era magician, 1930's as a film maker, or late 1960's dropping clues to myself at age 12.

I'd like to have seen my area before people got here. That would be cool. I hope I could bring a couple of utensils with me though.
Now as a different thought, I wish I knew what I know now, when I was 5 starting kindergarten. I'd be almost at the second grade level.
Magic is doing improbable things with odd items that, under normal circumstances, would be unnessecary and quite often undesirable.

1954...right when Bill Haley was starting to figure things out and Wynonnie Harris had already figured everything out.

With the knowledge I have now, I'd go to late 70s, look up Copperfield and share some ideas about illusion design, teleportation, flying, sawing, fans and so on...

Give me a vessel and 100 sailors and I'm off to 1650 for some pirate action!
