Here lately I have been having problems with my Anchor system that I use in school shows. I have thinking of replacing it but don't want to spend another $2000.00 on a new one as Anchor has stopped using SURE microphones and have gone to a cheap off shore brand.
Anyway, I noticed that several other people have asked about the SOUNDTECH AL12R system but no-one has ever responded. Hopefully someone is familar with it! It is an all-in-one system that comes with a built in CD player and a built in wireless mic. system / receiver. The best part is that it is less than $700.00 and comes with a 5 year warranty. Here is a link.... http://www.soundtech.com/products/systems/al12r.asp |

Hey, a good friend of mine is a Soundtech dealer here. I have used many soundtech items and have been happy with all that I have used.
The AL systems are great sounding, easy to tote and can be pole mounted. One problem is the controlls are on the top and if you need to have them too high they can be hard to use but they are great for even fairly large rooms. You also can plug an extension speaker into them to cover the room. I continue to use one for my small events and would recomend them. Kent |

Hi todd75,
I have a SOUNDTECH AL12R and have used it for small shows when it wasen't worth the added effort of setting up my larger PA for about 8 years now. The model I have did not include the CD player or the wireless mic. I plugged an external wireles mic and a minidisk player into the unit and for the price it performed quite well. In some rooms the vocal sounded a little muffled. It is amazingly easy to roll in and out. |

I'm looking at this now. The remote CD is what attracts me the most. Im still old school and make all my music onto CDs. If anyone has the remote CD version, please post.
Regards, Candini
