Well let's just say it is nice that he has updated his site. It has been the same for about 4-5 years or more. I remember seeing on his old site that he had several projects that were being built at Splash Creative for some time. They were pretty neat looking. He doesn't have any of those on his new site but might in the near future since this is a new look for him.
I have talked to him about some ideas in the past and he had some really cool looks into how things should be done. Try contacting him directly or the owners at Splash Creative for reference. Michael

I just had a levitation made by Tim... it's GREAT! Nothing but positive things to say about him as an author, designer, builder, and overall just a great guy. Very helpful. 5 stars... I will go to him for many more illusions. I now have him building 2 more illusions!

I think I heard for a few years he was Dirk Arthur's, like, illusion guy. Maybe he still is as well, I'm not sure, but he's got the know-how to write a book that's for sure....unlike many guys out there trying to get famous too fast.

This is not just another illusion book. It is a lesson on how the rest of illusion books should look.
This is the best illusion book I own. I love it!!!

I ordered the book some time back, but unfortunately it never turned up in the post.
I contacted Tim and he kindly sent the book to another address. Super service and a very nice gentleman. |

I've had the pleasure of speaking with him and he is definitely a nice guy.
His illusions to me seem a little impractical and OTT, but that's just my opinion! Gary |

Tim's ideas in the book are very new. I personally don't feel like they are over the top, but like with all of your magic, you need to take a look at what kind of venues you are performing in. His illusion "Trap Door" would be great for most performers doing illusions. It has a story, and is deceptive (I've seen it up close... it rocks!). Some of his other illusions like "steam" probably couldn't be used by most performers. His remote contrl car vanish is practical for everyone, as it doesn't require much in the way of special lighting or other conditions. I've seen this up close too, and it's amazing!
Tim has currently made 3 big pieces for my show, and is almost finished with the 4th right now. He stands by his work, he's honest, kind, and does a hell of a good job at building and desiging. Here are some pictures of a couple things he's done for me. Click here to view attached image.

Dave, those props look totally awesome. Care to share what will they do..?
Tim's book is really worth getting. I got my copy yesterday and its propably the best book on illusions I own. Trap Door, an illusion in the book, is easily worth the price of the book-a totally brilliant effect.

So does anyone care to geusstimate how much it would cost someone to build one of the illusions in Tims new book?
By the way I got the book and it is a great book. I really like the chapter on mockups. Every illusion book should have that in it. S. Patrick |

I don't see trap door in the list of illusions in his new book?
are these just a few of the illusions in this book? please pm me or post here thanks! Gary Illusions in the book include : STEAM The appearance of the Magician from steam coming from a network of pipes. R/C CAR VANISH A radio controlled car vanishes from its box and reappears on the far side of the stage. COMPACT DECEPTION The Magician turns a CD player into his assistant. HEADZ UP The assistant is cut into three pieces then the box opened to show the legs, torso and head all separated. ALIEN ABDUCTION An AREA51 routine in which an Alien vanishes and reappears in the Magician's place.
P.S. this is what part of the alphabet would look like if "Q" and "R" were eleminated

We at http://www.wonderwarehouse.com actually brokered the deal for the very first Trapdoor that Tim built. A friend of ours in Germany was the customer and I had the pleassure of working with Tim on the project. I had it here in the warehouse a couple of days and "played" with it and I can confirm that it is a quality product that should hold up even on heavy use.
Tim was pleasant throughout the process and everything promised was dlivered on time. |
