Thanks for the ideas Mike. The zippers are of good quality and I think they will do.
The first batch of knive cases sold out rather quickly. The second batch is being made.

They will be ready next week.

Velcro can be noisy, so I think Frank's good with zippers. I found something else that works extremely well as a closure. The last cell phone holster I bought had two flat magnets embedded in the flap and the case. With no noise at all (and without that annoying fuzz of the velcro as it ages) it opens and closes almost automatically. Not sure how it would work with steel knife blades but since they cling to each other much tighter than the adjacent metal, it might be worth a shot trying.

I have one of the knife cases, and it is beautiful. It is great to be able to carry my knives in the case without them jangling around and getting separated. Great work, Frank!

I like the idea of the magnetic flap, Dave.

The zippered case is specificaly meant for when you're not using them. When you darn well want to know that your knives are going nowhere. And, of course, to eliminate the pesky jangling that Whit used to have trouble with Smile. I think a zipper is best for that in terms of safety (not losing your knives) and long term durability.

The "squeezy case" as it is called at the shop, is for performance. Knives in the pocket, ready to go. No flap. No jive. No nothin'. When you want to be Quickdraw McKnife.

And the squeezy cases are now in and ready for shipment.

Sounds great! Makes me want to dig out my knives, just so I can buy one!

Anyone know where to get the miniature knives for the smash climax?

Yes.
almost.

Joe Mogar is in the process of making these. Be patient and you'll soon own a handful of climax knives at a reasonable cost.

Those look great! Are they available now? How much?

Quoting myself...

I recieved the two cases, one of each, the other day, and can answer my own questions:

They looked great, and they ARE great! The holder with the squeeze-open pocket is the best "knife-index" I've seen. It fits my trouserpocket as well as my coat-pocket.
The zippered pouch with 4 loops is a classy way to transport/store the knives. It works well as an index/holder as well.

Re. my last question from the post above: Both are worth every cent!
