Youo need to get the books on Slydini's work. It would be difficult to describe here, but with Slydini's it is all worked out with the timing of your words too, which makes the misdirection even stronger.

Slydini's was closer to the table and much slower/smaller action. Compare with Goeff Latta's version to get some idea of the contrast as his is closer to the original.
